From the alarm clock warning to a fast-food dinner, "I Want It Now!" takes you through a hectic day where everything is needed in a hurry. This calls for patience, but we need that in a hurry, too!
Children will love the catchy songs as they sing their way into learning more about patience. Parents will be delighted for their children to learn that instant gratification is rarely the best.
"Patience is calmly overcoming and enduring troubles, delays and problems without complaining." Hey, we could all use more patience -- parents and children. When we start to lose our patience, wouldn't it be better to recall a song to help us remember what our proper response should be?
The Teacher's Guide suggests discussing patience with your children. Have them keep a character journal each day and record ways that they can practice patience. Discuss how they might learn to be patience with a younger brother or sister.
